Zpo\u010d\u00e1tku m\u011bl b\u00fdt n\u00e1stupcem typu S51 model S52, ale z\u016fstal jen ve f\u00e1zi prototypu. V roce 1989 byla tov\u00e1rna nucena rychle zav\u00e9st nov\u00fd model, kter\u00fd by mohl konkurovat s vozidly dostupn\u00fdmi na z\u00e1pad\u011b. V z\u00e1\u0159\u00ed 1990 proto nahradil model S53 d\u0159\u00edve vyr\u00e1b\u011bn\u00e9 S51<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;Na prvn\u00ed pohled viditelnou zm\u011bnou je nov\u00e1 palivov\u00e1 n\u00e1dr\u017e, sedlo (zn\u00e1m\u00e9 z SR50), nov\u00fd tvar bo\u010dn\u00edch schr\u00e1nek, blatn\u00edky z plastu, nov\u00e1 kapot\u00e1\u017e s obd\u00e9ln\u00edkov\u00fdm reflektorem a p\u0159\u00edstrojov\u00e1 deska. Kruhov\u00e9 sv\u011btlomety byly nahrazeny obd\u00e9ln\u00edkov\u00fdmi.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; Celkov\u011b bylo mezi lety 1990 &#8211; 1994 vyrobeno 10.500 kus\u016f s\u00e9rie modelu S53.
